Your opportunity

Reporting into the Commercial Property Manager, this is an end-to-end role combining the financial management and control of all areas of Net Operating Income (NOI) for the Sydney Commercial assets on behalf of the external Owners. The role will focus on utilising performance and trend analysis to facilitate strategic planning; promote financial awareness; enhance decision making and management reporting to Owners.

A snapshot of your role:

  • Preparation and delivery of accurate financial information, variance analysis and insights for month end, forecast and budget for the Sydney Commercial Offices. This includes end-to-end delivery of NOI for Sydney Commercial, including rental income, tenant outgoings, management income and expenses
  • Drive delivery of accurate and on-time financial reporting, including balance sheet reviews and reconciliations, income tax calculations, BAS, and half-year and year-end audit process, ensuring accuracy and consistent treatment of accounting and commercial issues.
  • Produce accurate and timely Monthly Management Reports in accordance with the Property Management Agreements.
  • Oversee the cashflow forecasting for several bank accounts and make recommendations on cash management to Owners
  • Produce accurate and timely Monthly Management Reports in accordance with the Property Management Agreements.
  • Actively monitor revenue, operating and capital expenditure, tenant charges, recoveries and arrears

The role is being offered as a permanent Full-time position based from our Westfield Sydney centre management office.

You will be a passionate, dynamic, self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a high performing culture.

  • Undergraduate degree, plus CA or CPA qualification or similar level of practical experience.
  • Knowledge of JDE, Hyperion, TM1, and advanced Excel desirable.
  • Demonstrate well-rounded knowledge of technical accounting and tax matters, coupled with commercial acumen and excel modelling skills.
  • Strong people skills with a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to distill complex ideas into a simple framework and communicate to varied audiences
