Our Design & Construction department at Scentre Group is responsible for the end-to-end process from concept to delivery of our Westfield living centres. An integral part of this is the extensions and upgrades to existing centres. We develop and deliver designs that reflect the Westfield experience and latest thinking while optimising costs and providing speed to market that exceeds the best achievable by alternate delivery methodologies.

Your opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Foreperson (Night Shift) to join the Scentre Group Special Projects construction team to drive the program of project works at Westfield Tea Tree Plaza.

Reporting to the Project Manager, as a Foreman you will be supervising and coordinator on site construction activities across the project whilst ensuring productivity, labour costs are kept within construction budget and compliance to the safety plan.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • In conjunction with the Project Manager or Site Manager - plan, coordinate and control the on-site construction activities to ensure the completed works achieve the Environmental Occupational Health & Safety (EOH&S), time, cost and quality objectives for the Project.
  • Attends the weekly Safety walks and Safety meeting.
  • Attends Pre starts/Toolbox talks, Foreman's meeting, weekly team meetings.
  • Embraces the Team environment and the overall project, not limiting themselves to own area/zone of work.
  • Management of construction activities and/or subcontractor’s works as assigned by the Project Manager or Site Manager.
  • Regularly review the construction program. Preparation of short term programs (2-4 weekly look ahead programs).  Assist in forward planning to minimize potential delays.
  • Control and coordination of subcontractors, that are under your direction.
  • Provide positive leadership to the subcontractors.
  • Understand the subcontractor’s Scope of Works.
  • After hours work required.
