Lead the future of Facilities Management across one of Australia's leading property portfolios. At Scentre Group, we're reimagining the way we deliver exceptional experiences for our customers, communities, retailers and business partners. As part of our new Customer Experience & Operations (CXO) structure, we are seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as Head of Facilities. This newly created role is critical to delivering our 2030 Strategy, driving operational excellence, and creating a consistent, future-focused facilities management function across our portfolio.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

• Lead the enterprise facilities management strategy across the Westfield portfolio

• Drive operational consistency, governance and facilities standards across all destinations

• Oversee contractor performance, strategic supplier relationships and facilities service delivery outcomes

• Lead facilities-related governance, compliance, operational risk and assurance activities across the portfolio

• Partner with Centre teams to support operational performance, facilities management and service delivery consistency

• Monitor facilities performance, operational metrics and service standards, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimisation

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, sustainability and customer experience outcomes

• Oversee facilities-related budgeting, forecasting and operational planning activities

• Lead innovation and new ways of thinking in Facilities management practices.

• Support enterprise operational priorities, asset performance and long-term portfolio resilience through effective facilities management

• Build strong cross-functional relationships across Operations, Risk, Sustainability, Development and Centre teams

• Lead and develop the Facilities team, strengthening capability, accountability and operational performance

• Provide strategic advice, reporting and operational insights to senior leadership regarding facilities performance,risks and opportunities

• Ensure all facilities activities align with legislative, governance and safety requirements

 

What sets you apart

You are an experienced facilities or operations leader who has successfully led large, complex portfolios and high-performing teams. You bring strong expertise in facilities management, contractor and supplier performance, governance and operational risk, combined with a strategic mindset and commercial acumen.

You will be:

  • A strategic thinker who balances operational performance, governance, safety and customer experience outcomes.
  • Skilled at building alignment, accountability and operational discipline across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experienced in delivering results, using data and insights to improve performance, optimise operations and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Strong at collaborating, building trusted relationships across stakeholders, enterprise functions and external partners.
  • A leader who embraces Continuous Improvement, challenges existing approaches and develops team capability to deliver operational excellence
