We have a role within our Westfield Plenty Valley team for an experienced Risk & Security Manager. Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

  • Managing external service providers, contract security teams and emergency preparedness training across the destination.
  • Proactively planning and delivering priorities from our Safety Framework, providing a safe and secure environment that exceeds customer expectations while promoting safety as an integral part of the customer experience.
  • Managing hazard identification, incidents, emergencies, near misses and claims, including reporting, investigations and follow-up actions.
  • Leading safety audits, inspections and compliance activities to ensure adherence to security, health and safety policies, procedures and practices.
  • Building strong relationships with local Police, Fire and Ambulance Services, WHS Regulators and retail partners, while fulfilling duty manager responsibilities on a rotating weekend and evening roster.

This role is a permanent full-time position with duty management weekend shifts involved.

You have proven experience managing workplace risks, incident response, investigations and reporting, and can confidently engage with authorities and support insurance claim management processes. Your technical knowledge of CCTV, access control and contractor management systems is complemented by your ability to influence, lead and build trusted relationships across a broad stakeholder group.

You will be:

  • A strong leader with a warm, approachable, and engaging style.
  • Calm, decisive and considered when managing incidents, emergencies and competing priorities.
  • Skilled at building partnerships and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A confident communicator who can deliver training, present to groups and influence positive safety outcomes.
  • Customer-focused, accountable and committed to creating safe and welcoming experiences for our communities.
