Your opportunity

To support our growth and ambition, we are currently searching for an Assurance Manager to join our internal Risk & Audit team. The team’s purpose is to partner with the business to provide insights, advice and assessment of key controls to achieve Scentre Group’s objectives and enable informed decision making. This role will play a lead role in the completion of Audit Planning, Fieldwork and Reporting to deliver the Annual Audit Plan for Scentre Group. The Assurance Manager will assist the Risk & Audit team to work together and implement and influence a positive risk culture across Scentre Group and to provide assurance that risks are effectively managed across the business.

The opportunity is a 12-month fixed-term full time contract position and will be based out of our Sydney Support Office (located above Westfield Sydney).

Key deliverables for this role:

  • Lead the planning of audit engagements including communicating with stakeholders, collating information requests and researching background information.
  • Lead the identification of key risks, controls and insights within processes and documenting these in the Risk and Control Matrix.
  • Building strong and influential relationships with the wider Scentre Group Business and developing industry and market knowledge.
  • Driving a collaborative, open and supportive culture within the Risk and Audit Team and across the broader Scentre Group business.
  • In conjunction with the Risk and Audit Team, championing the culture of ‘People Protecting People’ internally and across the organisation to enhance the Work Health and Safety (WHS), Compliance and Risk Management culture.

What sets you apart from the rest?

You bring strong experience in process improvement, internal audit, risk management or external audit. You have strong attention to detail, ensuring that audit deliverables are completed accurately and of a high standard. You are a strong communicator, are concise and effectively work with stakeholders of all levels and backgrounds with the ability to influence outcomes. The successful candidate for this role will be a highly motivated and passionate leader who enjoys problem solving; someone who strives to achieve the best possible results for your teams and for Scentre Group.
