Your opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the Facilities teams across a portfolio of three premium Sydney CBD commercial assets: 85 Castlereagh Street, 77 Castlereagh Street, and 100 Market Street.
You will be the Facilities department lead for the Sydney CBD Commercial Team and will oversee the operational performance, safety, compliance and sustainability outcomes and tenant experience across these three assets. You will be partnering closely with three dedicated Asset Managers and key stakeholders to deliver premium building operations, foster vibrant tenant communities, and maintain excellence in asset performance.
What you'll do
- Lead develop and inspire the Facilities team, driving high performance, accountability, engagement and a strong safety culture.
- Mentor and coach Assistant Facilities Managers, building team capability and supporting career development.
- Partner with Asset Managers to deliver operational excellence and ensure facilities strategies align with broader asset objectives.
- Manage operational expenditure and capital expenditure budgets, including monthly forecasting, variance commentary and reporting.
- Authorise team expenditure and provide governance over work orders, invoices, service contracts and minor capital works within delegated authority limits.
- Lead the delivery of operational improvement initiatives and capital projects, with a focus on safety, sustainability, innovation and asset performance.
- Ensure assets are maintained to a high operational standard through regular inspections of plant, equipment and critical building infrastructure.
- Drive contractor performance management, ensuring service providers meet contractual obligations, KPIs and customer service expectations.
- Maintain compliance with all statutory, regulatory and client requirements, ensuring maintenance activities are completed in accordance with specifications and industry best practice.
- Prepare and present business cases, scopes of work and asset lifecycle recommendations, supported by equipment condition assessments, maintenance history and financial analysis.
- Provide clear recommendations to Asset Managers regarding maintenance and capital investment priorities to support long-term asset performance.
- Build trusted relationships with tenants, contractors, Asset Managers and ownership groups, ensuring a high level of stakeholder satisfaction and service delivery.
- Apply a sound understanding of sustainability frameworks, including NABERS, to improve building performance and support environmental objectives across the portfolio.

- Substantial experience managing an A-grade commercial asset.
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements and ESG frameworks.
- Sound technical knowledge of building operations and asset performance.
- Experience managing people and supporting team capability.
- Sound financial acumen and comfort working with budgets.
- Strong technical understanding of assets, including capital planning and lifecycle considerations.
