Your Opportunity
The Integrated Mixed -Use team is responsible for unlocking the long -term value of Scentre Group’s destinations through residential and mixed -use development. As an emerging capability within the business, the team is focused on establishing the strategy, pipeline and delivery approach for integrated precinct development across the portfolio that responds to changing customer behaviour, urban growth and community needs.
Working at the intersection of strategy and delivery, the team partners closely with Asset Management, Development, Design & Construction, Finance and broader business functions. A key focus is building the capability, processes and partnerships required to move from early -stage opportunity identification through to feasible, approvable and deliverable outcomes.
You will have overall accountability for:
The Design Manager – Integrated Mixed -Use manages and coordinates design activity across allocated integrated mixed -use development projects, helping translate development opportunities into high -quality, commercially viable and deliverable design outcomes. Working from early feasibility and concept development through planning and authority approvals and into pre - construction, the role coordinates multidisciplinary design teams, develops and manages design briefs and ensures consultant outputs meet project, regulatory and commercial requirements.
- Lead and coordinate design activities across mixed-use projects from feasibility and concept through approvals and pre-construction.
- Develop and manage design strategies, briefs, consultant teams, and deliverables to ensure quality, compliance, feasibility, and alignment with project objectives.
- Drive design coordination, programs, approvals, and stakeholder engagement across internal teams, consultants, authorities, and external partners.
- Identify and manage design, planning, technical, and buildability risks while supporting the transition from design to delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
What will set you apart from the rest?
Experience in the following:
- Experience managing design for residential, mixed-use, or complex development projects.
- Strong understanding of design, planning, commercial, and construction outcomes.
- Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary consultants and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of planning controls, regulations, buildability, and project delivery.
- Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused, with the ability to identify risks and drive successful project outcomes.
